Because the safety of our students and staff is a top concern, any person who wishes to volunteer in school MUST have a background check on file. Background checks cost ~$13 and last two years. Verify that a prior clearance is still valid by calling the office at 317.881.1720.

Once completed, there are a number of ways to learn how to volunteer:

1. Attend a meeting to learn about immediate needs!

2. Sign up for PTO updates via Room Parents! Your child's Room Parent sends ~monthly~ updates with class-specific information in addition to general PTO information and ways to volunteer. Sign-up here!

3. Our Facebook page has quick access to volunteer sign-ups, like for Book Fair or Donuts w/Grownups, or for dessert and drink donations for appreciation days. 

4. Finally, you can sign up for a Specific PTO Committee based on how often you can help (1 hr/semester or 2 hrs/month) and where you are able to help (at school, evening events, from your laptop in the middle of the night). 

Currently, the PTO is seeking the following Staff Appreciation Week assistance:

• Donations for side items, pancake toppings, and desserts from our SAW Sign-Up Genius for you to deliver to the office

• Donations for decorations, snacks, and teacher/staff prizes from our SAW Amazon Wish List to ship automatically

• Volunteers for Super U Game Show "gift of time" assemblies 

FIELD DAY sign-ups will be released on May 1st at 6pm on ParentSquare. Verify that your background check is done ASAP. Unverified names will be removed immediately when the office checks for clearance.
